HARRISBURG – Two water and sewer grants were awarded today to Doylestown Township and the Bedminster Township Municipal Authority, according to Senator Chuck McIlhinney (R-10) and Representative Marguerite Quinn (R-143).
Doylestown Township’s grant will finance sewer facility upgrades in the Pebble Ridge/Wood Ridge areas in the Township, and the Bedminster Municipal Authority’s award will aid in the consolidation of the Deep Run sanitary sewer system.
The grants were awarded as part of the Commonwealth Financing Authority’s (CFA) Small Water and Sewer Program.
“Both of these upgrades address projects that are necessary and critical to the region, and these needs were clearly communicated to CFA prior to consideration,” McIlhinney said. “I appreciate that these projects will move forward toward completion to ensure our local systems remain in good working order.”
“Investing in our water and sewer infrastructure is necessary to maintain the health of the community, in terms of people, the environment and the local economy,” said Quinn. “Infrastructure improvements are costly, I’m pleased that the state is partnering with this investment.”
