Liquor Privatization Plan
In recent months, the General Assembly has considered various proposals to privatize the sale of wine and liquor in Pennsylvania. State residents have voiced strong support for the concept of getting the state out of the business of selling alcohol, and as Chairman of the Senate Law and Justice Committee, I have worked with all interested parties toward this goal.
I recently authored a proposal that would privatize the retail sale of wine and liquor, protect small businesses and make substantial improvements to selection and convenience for consumers. More information regarding my proposal is available at the links below. I will update this page as the General Assembly continues to study and debate this issue in the weeks and months ahead.
