For Immediate Release Senator McIlhinney Applauds Bateman Confirmation to Court of Common PleasHARRISBURG – Sen. Chuck McIlhinney (R-Bucks and Montgomery) applauded Tuesday's Senate confirmation of William H. "Skip" Bateman to the Bucks County Court of Common Pleas. "I was pleased to recommend Skip Bateman to be nominated for this position because I am confident that his experience and character will make him an excellent addition to the court," McIlhinney said. "Skip has been a valuable member of the community and has a vast knowledge of legal issues, and I expect that he will treat every case fairly as a Common Pleas judge." Bateman is a former Bucks County Assistant and Deputy District Attorney and is a partner at Grim, Biehn and Thatcher. He has 26 years of experience as an attorney and actively works in several areas of practice. Bateman also teaches legal and paralegal classes at Bucks County Community College. He received the highest rating possible from the Bucks County Bar Association's plebiscite committee. Bateman earned his J.D. from the Widener University School of Law and earned a Bachelors of Science degree from La Salle University. Bateman has been married for 27 years and has three
children. He is an active community volunteer who provides legal expertise to
local organizations, including acting as the solicitor for the Bucks County
chapter of the Boy Scouts of America and a volunteer with a youth soccer
